We recommend that you use the ScramFS beta in a test environment.

The main reason for this is:

• We anticipate that the encryption will change slightly between the beta and release versions.

Therefore, when the release version is available, you will need to start over – deleting the encrypted versions of your files in the cloud and re-sync your data your computer to the cloud.

This is going to be a “one-off” situation between beta and release versions of ScramBox. Once ScramFS goes into release, the versions of your files in the cloud will be forwards compatible with future versions of ScramFS.
